Scott Griffith – U.S. Army

Mr. Griffith enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1984 as a 68B Aircraft Powerplant Repairman. After attaining the rank of SFC/E7 he attended WOCS and was commissioned as a Warrant Officer, Human Resource Technician in the U.S. Army Adjutant General Corps. Mr. Griffith also served as a dual-status Military Technician, Human Resource Officer GS-0201-13, for the U.S. Army Reserve Command. His military career spans 25 years. Mr. Griffith is the epitome of a lifelong military man. He is the 8th generation to serve in the U.S. Armed Forces during wartime. He is the second generation to retire from military service after completing over 20 years.

MILITARY AND CIVILIAN EDUCATION:
Mr. Griffith earned an Associate of Science, Computer Information Systems, and an Associate of Science, Business Administration from Grantham College, Slidell, LA. He is also a graduate of the Human Resource Officer Basic Course, Fort Jackson, SC, the Leadership Education and Development Course, Organizational Leadership for Executives, and Civilian Advance Course (formerly Sustaining Base Leadership Management Course), US Army Command and General Staff College – Civilian Leadership, Ft. Leavenworth, KS.

ASSIGNMENT HIGHLIGHTS:
After commissioning Mr. Griffith served as the Human Resource Management Technician for the Officer Education System (OES) Brigade assigned to the 84th Training Command. During mobilization, he served as a Human Resource Technician for the Army Reserve Family Readiness Division and was responsible for spearheading the Army Reserve Family Strong Community Center initiative. In his civilian capacity, Mr. Griffith served as the Deputy Director for Leadership Development and the Deputy Director G1/Human Resource Officer for the 84th Training Command. He also served as the Adjutant, Directorate of Human Resources, U.S. Army Garrison Command, Fort McCoy, WI, and as the Supervisor of the Soldier Readiness Processing Center, Great Lakes Region.

Mr. Griffith’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with OLC, Superior Civilian Service Award, Army Commendation Medal, Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, Army Achievement Medal with OLC, National Defense Service Medal, Liberation of Kuwait Service Medal, Operation Desert Storm/Desert Shield service ribbon, Army Good Conduct Medal, Non-Commissioned Officer Development Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal, and Meritorious Unit Commendation.

Mr. Griffith currently resides in Menomonee Falls, WI. He has three sons. He has volunteered over 500 hours with the USO of Wisconsin and over 5,000 hours with PVA-WI. Mr. Griffith has an active membership in the 84th Division Alumni Association and the Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter MOAA. Mr. Griffith is an active board member of the Paralyzed Veterans of America – Wisconsin Chapter and currently serves as the Government Relations Director and National Director.
